2014 AMSOIL/STREET RODDER Road Tour Schedule: Here We Go!
It won't be long until the '59 Impala Road Tour car rolls out of San Antonio to commence the 2014 AMSOIL/STREET RODDER Road Tour. Are you planning on being part of the adventure? Register for one or more tours by visiting the STREET RODDER website at www.streetrodder.com. Any questions, call Jerry Dixey at the toll-free hotline, (800) 664-1362. The 2014 Road Tour starts with the Triple Crown Challenge, sponsored by www.Roadtrippers.com. The three-tour trip starts with the Vintage Air Tour and continues with the MSRA Back to the 50's Tour and the Aeromotive Tour. You can choose to join one or all three. Drivers who complete the Triple Crown Challenge earn a commemorative jacket.

Top 100 is Back!
We're pretty excited to report that Painless Performance Products and STREET RODDER magazine have teamed up again to present Top 100 awards during the 2014 car show season. STREET RODDER editors will be in attendance at 10 top-level national events this year, selecting 10 vehicles from each. If the math works out, that will equal 100 outstanding picks for the Top 100 list. At the end of the year, we will pick one of those 100 winners as the Street Rod of the Year. Selections are not limited to pre-war rods; we like customs, pickups, Tri-Fives, '60s street cruisers (like the '64 Fairlane that was our SROY in 2013), and more. Look for us at the following shows.
Detroit Autorama: March 8-10, Detroit, Michigan
Back to the 50's: June 20-22, St. Paul, Minnesota
NHRA Hot Rod Reunion: June 12-14, Bowling Green, Kentucky
NSRA Rocky Mountain Nats: June 27-29, Pueblo, Colorado
Syracuse Nats: July 18-20, Syracuse, New York
NSRA Nats: July 31-August 3, Louisville, Kentucky
Hot August Nights: July 29-August 3, Reno, Nevada
Shades of the Past: September 5-6, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee
NSRA Nats North: September 12-14, Kalamazoo, Michigan
Cruisin' the Coast: October 5-12, Gulf Coast of Mississippi
Coker Comes to California
The Coker Group—which includes Coker Tire, Honest Charley, Wheel Vintiques, and several other affiliates—is headquartered in Chattanooga, Tennessee, but couldn't resist the allure of Southern California's huge street rod scene, "not to mention year round convertible weather," stated founder Corky Coker. Earlier this year, Coker opened its new West Coast center in the Los Angeles area.
The 100,000-square-foot facility located in City of Industry, California, serves as a steel and wire wheel manufacturing plant, tire warehouse, and distribution center. In addition to those functions, the facility houses a small collection of vintage cars, motorcycles, and assorted automobilia, which is open to the public. Plans call for visitor tours of the production facility where visitors will be able to see wheels being made.
