The "Beatnik Bandit" is also a case where carefully planned and executed graphics (blended metallics over a white pearl base, originally applied in a panel design by Larry Watson, then duplicated to perfection during restoration) enhance, rather than distract from, the overall effect. In other words, the paint was designed with the car, not simply applied as an afterthought.
