Rich still uses the same Muncie four-speed that replaced the '39 three-speed 36 years ago. A Hurst shifter topped with a '49 Hudson knob makes shifting easy.  The extensive 1965 rebuild also brought a Corvair steering box and it's still on the car. The steering column has been chromed. Real hot rods have three pedals, right?
