At 14 living in Maynard, Fred and George Veracka were my heroes. I used to go up to Freds house on my bike, about a mile or so away, and hang out in his huge barn full of rods and customs and he had a large collection of junk and "builders" in the back of the property. I used to have a lot of pics of all the cars but they've disappeared over the years. How sad!!!! Great memories non-the-less. And this article has been an awesome hike down memory lane. Thanks also for your recent story on george Verackas '32 coupe "Apache" Hoping to visit this summer from denver.
