The 2.7-L, 60-degree Chevy Citation V-6 was turned over to legendary engine builder Cub Barnett. The block was ringed, decked, and align-bored, then filled with Venolia pistons, a Crane valvetrain, and balanced. Heads were cc'd by Hi Flow, and a single 48-DCOE Weber sidedraft carb was matched to an Air Research turbocharger. The valve covers, stainless steel headers, including the bracket and pulleys, plus radiator and overflow tank, were handmade as well.
