B&M Racing Acquires McLeod Industries B&M Racing & Performance Products has acquired McLeod Industries.
McLeod has long been a supplier of street performance and racing clutch technology for over a quarter of a century. McLeod, founded in 1971 by Red Roberts, manufactures and distributes a full line of clutch assemblies, flywheels, hydraulic throw-out bearings, bellhousings and rail shifters.
"The joining of these two industry icons, with almost 100-years of racing heritage, will now be the most formidable power delivery group in the performance aftermarket," Roberts said.
According to Jim Adolph, vice president of marketing for B&M Racing, "This is the beginning of B&M's transformation into the one-stop driveline supplier to the automotive performance aftermarket. We intend to supply our customers with all their driveline needs from the flywheel back."

Right Coast Association Honors 1932 Ford
The Right Coast Association has announced that next year they will mark the milestones of two of the most celebrated vehicles in our nation's automotive history and the hobby of hot rodding.
The association has designated 2007 the "Year of the Deuce" to mark the 75th anniversary of the quintessential hot rod-the 1932 Ford. All association events during 2007 will offer special accommodations, mementos, dash plaques, parking, and other perks to everyone attending with any model 1932 Ford.
The association is also planning special recognition for anyone attending all 2007 Right Coast rod and custom shows with either of these vehicles. Plans are also in the works for a Top 10 pick to recognize the best Deuces at all 2007 Right Coast rod and custom events, including the Syracuse Nationals. And, the Right Coast Association Giveaway vehicle for 2007 will be a '32 Ford; this will be the fourth Deuce the association has given away since 2000.
The Right Coast Association (Syracuse, New York) promotes, or co-promotes, seven automotive events from March through October each year, including the DuPont Hot Hues Syracuse Nationals in July, the Eastern States Nationals in Berlin, Connecticut, in August, and the Myrtle Beach Fall Cruise in October.
Charitable contributions are a hallmark of the Right Coast Association. Association President Bob O'Connor says they are very proud of their partnerships with not-for-profit automotive clubs to benefit community based charities from the proceeds of the events. "With the help of hundreds of volunteers from clubs in the Central New York, New England, and Myrtle Beach areas, association shows have generated more than $140,000 in contributions in the last six years," O'Connor said.

Zipper Motors Celebrates 30
This year marks a milestone in the street rod industry as Darrell Zipp celebrates 30 years of street rod innovation. The Zipper legacy began shortly after Darrell graduated the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles and started Traditional Street Rods, where he began his hot rod-building career by manufacturing the industry's first fiberglass '32 Ford three-window coupe body.
Through the years, Zipp refined his skills while working as lead fabricator and shop foreman at Magoo's Hot Rods in 1980, and then in 1986 he opened Zipper Motors, a full-service street rod shop. Over the years, Zipper Motors has created countless street rods, including 15 contenders at the Grand National Roadster Show, where they garnered more than two dozen awards.
Following several early curved-windshield projects, Darrell got the idea to create a re-styled '32 Ford curved-windshield roadster introduced as The Zipper. Since that time the roadster has been followed by a succession of hot rods culminating in his unique lakes modified in both roadster and coupe form.
