The last four events on the NSRA schedule come in rapid-fire succession in September and October. After a great weekend in Kalamazoo, Jerry Dixey and the 2003 PPG / Street Rodder Road Tour roadster had just two days off before heading to Burlington, Vermont and the Northeast Nationals.

There was one participant who could have made the event very interesting. Hurricane Isabel was looming off the East Coast, deciding whether to make a trip to New England and spoil the party. As it turned out, she had other plans and except for some wind on Friday the weather in Burlington was beautiful.

The one-day drive to Burlington was one of the nicest of the summer and after spending three days in New England, Jerry pointed the Road Tour roadster west. It was time for the long, long trip to Sacramento, California for the Golden State Nationals. Then the final test of the summer, the Iron Man Run from Sacramento to the Southeast Nationals. It is a three-day, 3,000 mile run that's a wild way to end the season.

Check out the full coverage of the Northeast Nationals in an upcoming issue of Street Rodder. Stay tuned to www.streetrodderweb.com for all the latest updates on this grueling last leg of the 2003 PPG / Street Rodder Road Tour.
