The plans have been made and our destinations decided. The schedule for the 2009 Street Rodder Magazine Road Tour is ready. This 14th edition of the "Cruise around the Country" series is very exciting as we return to some of our most popular events and add some new ones to the mix. Take a look at the Tours we have planned and mark your calendars. It is going to be a summer of Road Tour fun.
May 9 - May 17
Coker Tire Tour
Coker Tire, Chattanooga, TN to Cruisin' Ocean City, Maryland
We will kick off the season with a car show and charity auction at Coker Tire in Chattanooga, Tenn. After a stop in Charlotte we will make a special visit to The Victory Junction Gang Camp in North Carolina. Our ultimate destination for the Coker Tire Tour is Cruisin' Ocean City as the beach town will be filled with street rods, muscle cars and customs for the weekend.

Vintage Air Tour
Vintage Air, San Antonio, Texas to The NHRA Hot Rod Reunion, Bowling Green, Kentucky
The Vintage Air Tour is always one of the biggest of the season. Jack Chisenhall and Rick Love had such a great time at the NHRA Hot Rod Reunion that they have decided to make a return trip. The route will be different but the fun will be the same as last year as we visit street rod shops and see amazing car collections. The excitement at the end of the trail is at the NHRA Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

The AMSOIL Tour
NHRA Hot Rod Reunion, Bowling Green, Kentucky to St Ignace, Mich. Car Show
From the Hot Rod Reunion, Tour #3 will head north and make a swing through Wisconsin and across the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We meet a group of folks from The Back to the 50's Weekend near St Paul and head to AMSOIL's headquaters for a big party on Monday evening. Our destination is the famous St. Ignace Car Show that fills the streets of the city at the Mackinac Bridge. This show is open to all types of vehicles and you will see them all cruising the historic streets of St. Ignace.

Merrill-Lynch Jones Group Tour
Woody's Hot Rodz, Bright, Indiana to Syracuse, NY
The Merrill - Lynch Jones Group Tour kicks off with a get together at Woody's Hot Rodz in Bright, Indiana near Cincinnati on Sunday evening. Woody's built this year's Road Tour Chevy. The Tour rolls into Youngstown, Ohio for a party at Quaker Steak and Lube on Tuesday evening and a visit to the Classic Automobilia showroom. From Ohio we will travel through Pennsylvania and on to the big show in Syracuse, New York.
August 6 - 15
40th NSRA Street Rod Nationals, Louisville, Kentucky to Bonneville Speed Week, Wendover, Utah
This Tour is going to be huge as we spend the weekend at the 40th NSRA Street Rod Nationals in Louisville, Kentucky. On Sunday afternoon we will head west and make our way across the country to our destination of Bonneville Speed Week in Wendover on Thursday. We have a limited number of rooms for Thursday and Friday for registered Road Tour participants.
Sept 11 - 20
NSRA Nationals North Kalamazoo, Mich. to NSRA Northeast Nationals, Burlington, Vermont
The NSRA Nationals North is always a huge event and we will have a hospitality tent at the event for all Tour participants. On Sunday we will begin our journey which will include a party at Gear Star Transmission in Akron, Ohio on Monday afternoon. We will travel through Pennsylvania and New York to our destination of the NSRA Northeast Nationals in Burlington, Vermont.
Sherm's Custom Plating Tour
Sept 26 - Oct 4
San Diego, Calif. to NSRA Golden State Nationals, Sacramento, Calif.
Beginning at a huge Friday night cruise in Escondido, California near San Diego, this Tour will make a number of stops at famous locations in Los Angeles. We will continue north to our destination of the NSRA Golden State Nationals in Sacramento, California, stopping to visit some of the biggest private car collections in the United States.

NHRA Museum Tour
Seattle, Wash. to California Hot Rod Reunion, Bakersfield, California
The NHRA Museum Tour kicks off with a party at Art Morrison Enterprises in Fife, Washington. Morrison is the Official Chassis of the 2009 Road Tour. Our travels during the week will take us through the beautiful states of Washington and Oregon with stops at the big shops and manufacturers in our hobby. The redwoods of Northern California will be on our list of stops and we wrap up the week at the NHRA California Hot Rod Reunion in Bakersfield, California.
