 Wednesday evening we were...  Wednesday evening we were special guests at a picnic in Durango. Some of the local car clubs and street rodders in the area really showed us an evening of Colorado hospitality.  Thursday morning, with trail...  Thursday morning, with trail boss Rick Love in the lead, we headed out from Durango on our last leg of the trip to Pueblo. We enjoyed more beautiful weather and fantastic scenery.  Between the town of Alamosa...  Between the town of Alamosa and our destination of Pueblo was the continental divide on Colorado Route 160. It was an 8-mile climb up the mountain and it was the perfect spot for our last group picture of the week.  The AMSOIL/STREET RODDER Road...  The AMSOIL/STREET RODDER Road Tour hospitality tent was a popular gathering spot all weekend at the fairgrounds. Folks from the Vintage Air Tour got a chance to recount the adventures of the week and exchange addresses so they could keep in touch with new friends.  It was a great weekend at...  It was a great weekend at the Rocky Mountain Nationals plus. Both spectator and participant numbers were up from previous years. The later model cars were a nice addition to the street rods in attendance.  We had one more stop to make...  We had one more stop to make on Thursday at noon. The Early Iron Car Club of Alamosa invited us to join them for lunch. It was a great turnout and we again enjoyed the hospitality of another super street rod club.  Traveling with us on Thursday...  Traveling with us on Thursday was Alan Johnson and '09 Ridler winner Doug Cooper. They were on their way to the Rocky Mountain Nationals Plus in the '10 NSRA Giveaway Roadster built by Johnson's Hot Rods.  STREET RODDER's associate...  STREET RODDER's associate publisher, John Barkley, and his wife, Bonnie, got in the '52 Chevy from the '09 Road Tour and drove from Los Angeles to San Antonio to join the Vintage Air Tour. Like the Energizer Bunny that Chevy just keeps going and going.  The Fernando Hernandez family...  The Fernando Hernandez family of Laredo, TX, spent the week on the Vintage Air Road Tour in their '34 Pontiac. They had a great time and showed that street rodding is still a fun family hobby.
