It should be noted that Ford tie rod ends have a unique thread, they're 11/16-inch, 18-threads per inch. A special tap is required to make tie rods and drag links; both left- and right-hand threads are required. Note the notches on the lock nut of this tie rod end, they indicate that the threads are left-hand. View Related Article
