Four Really Is Better Than One
Auto Meter introduces new 5-inch quad gauges! Auto Meter now mounts an oil pressure gauge, a water temperature gauge, a fuel level gauge, and a voltmeter all in one quality package. Match this quad with its matching programmable electric speedometer, and you've got the makings of an exceptional new look for any rod or custom. The Old Tyme White series maintains the nostalgic sensibility many builders appreciate and augments it with the accuracy of modern quality engineering-something everyone's sure to appreciate. Auto Meter maintained the nostalgia theme by incorporating a bold numeric style, antique pointers, and a bright-chrome bezel. To sweeten the pot, Auto Meter also offers tachometers, clocks, and boost gauges to match. For more information or a comprehensive catalog, write Auto Meter Products, Inc., 413 W. Elm St., Dept. SRM, Sycamore, IL 60178; call (815) 895-8141; visit www.autometer.com.
A Little Wax
It seems no matter how fervently we buff, polish, and otherwise burnish our cars, their finishes usually reward us with two annoyances: hairline scratches and swirl marks. It's because the particles in traditional waxes and polishes are too large to effectively remove hairline scratches. This leaves an uneven surface that reflects light-usually in the form of swirl marks. Well, thankfully that's a thing of the past since Eagle One is riding the technological crest. They've designed a long-lasting, high-gloss wax called NanoWax. It's one of the first automotive products to use chemical nanotechnology-the ability to manipulate materials on an atomic or molecular scale. The nanopolishing agents fill hairline scratches while the micro carnauba wax particles apply a smoother and more consistent coating. The result is a deep glossy surface and shine. And because NanoWax particles are so much smaller, they're easier to remove and don't leave the messy white residue that other waxes leave behind. Werk-It
Rod end bushings are great for a host of things from linkages to suspension. However, there's one thing they're not really known for: high-misalignment angles. Until now, that is. Pro-werks developed a high-misalignment rod end bushing that adds valuable additional angularity to existing rod ends. They precision CNC machine these pieces from 304-series stainless steel to increase rod end misalignment angles. They're ideal for applications requiring additional travel. They're available in a large size selection to fit most popular rod ends. For more information on Pro-werks' line of precision-made components, write Pro-werks, 1931 N. 24th Ave., Dept. SRM, Mears, MI 49436; call (231) 873-9252; visit www.pro-werks.com.
Good Golly Miss Holley!
They said it couldn't be done, but Holley did it anyway: they improved the hot-rod-standard 4150 double-pumper carburetor. "How could one improve on perfection?" you ask? Easy. They polished it so it looks as good as it goes. They give these carbs' bodies their shine with a new vibratory polished finish known as bright zinc. For matching good looks, Holley plated all hardware with gold irridite. Holley offers these new carbs in 600- to 850-cfm capacities (0-4776S: 600 cfm; 0-4777S: 650 cfm; 0-4778S: 700 cfm; 0-4779S: 750 cfm; 0-4780S: 800 cfm; and 0-4781S: 850 cfm). Each carburetor comes with a manual choke, dual feed/center hung float bowls, and power valve blowout protection. Holley constructs these carburetors from all metal parts for durability and 100-percent wet flow tests them for peace of mind. For more information, contact Holley Motorsports, P.O. Box 10360, Dept.
