Flex-a-lite's new aluminum radiator is available in down- and cross-flow configurations. The innovative extruded tanks aid in cooling and provide mounts for any number of accessories.

Locations of the inlets/outlets and filler neck can be specified. One option that is not offered is an internal transmission cooler.

This one-of-a-kind extrusion is what makes Flex-a-lite's radiator unique. The internal fins aid cooling. The T-slots mount a variety of accessories.

Shown here is the new 16-inch Black Magic Extreme fan and shroud. It moves air at 3,300 cfm and will dissipate heat 40 percent faster than a standard 16-inch fan.

Note the fan mounts--everything should be this easy. Flex-a-lite suggests mounting fans to the backside of the core for two reasons: Mounted in front, the fan will tend to block ram air when the car is at speed; second, as air follows the path of least resistance, it will roll off the ends of the blades rather than go through the core.

In situations where smaller fans are adequate, mounts are available. In this case, a basket fan is used on the front of the radiator. Flex-a-lite uses what amounts to a mini-shroud around the outside of the blades to force air through the core.

Along with the attachment points on the radiator, Flex-a-lite has a complete line of brackets and attaching hardware for fans and coolers.

To adjust for the size of the fan used, the brackets can slide in the radiator mounts.

Clean and simple: In this application, a fan and a transmission cooler are mounted with the same brackets.

In this case, a Black Magic Extreme fan is attached on the backside of the radiator and the brackets are in place to hold an air conditioning condenser and a trans cooler.

These cool line clamps are called Gator Clips. They're available for 1/2- and 5/8-inch-diameter hose.
