Invisible Ppg Paint
PPG paint is found on many high-quality street rods where appearance counts; there's no reason why the same material can't be used in those hidden areas, as well. In most cases, just the basecoat will do, but satin clear is also an option.

Another version of PPG's epoxy primer is black DP90LF. LF stands for lead free.

PPG's DP74LF is a contemporary epoxy primer very similar in appearance to the red-oxide lacquer primer once commonly found on hot rods.

Eastwood Rust Converter is a unique two-part rust-converter that reacts with the iron oxide to change it into a more stable form. Rust Converter is ideal as a first step before using Rust Encapsulator. (Photo courtesy of Eastwood)

Gator Guard II is a two-part epoxy coating that was originally formulated as a truck-bed-liner material, but it also works extremely well as a premium undercoating. It can be brushed, sprayed, or rolled on. Surprisingly, even brushing produces a uniform, textured satin-black finish. (Photo courtesy of Eastwood)

Eastwood's Rust Encapsulator-available in black, red, silver, and cast gray-works great over rust. Just wire-brush to remove light rust, make sure the surface is grease- and oil-free, and apply. Once the Rust Encapsulator is fully cured, it can be used with virtually any topcoat.

Areas such as the inside rocker panels, doors, other closed box sections, between the outer hood and trunk lid skin, and the inner stamped supporting frame can all be treated with Heavy-Duty Anti Rust available in both aerosol (with extension wand) and quart form, for spraying with the Eastwood 20441 Undercoating Gun with flexible extensions.

Eastwood has several natural metal finishes; Spray Gray, Detail Gray, and Aluma Blast provide a bare-metal look while protecting the surface from corrosion. (Photo courtesy of Eastwood)
