Perewitz team member Jeff Salim took on the task of installing the interior and he first test-fit each section of carpet, taking care to do some last minute trimming. To ensure the carpet would stay in place, he used 3M High Strength spray adhesive and worked each section, making sure there were no unsightly bumps or creases. When finished, he turned his attention to the custom-molded rear interior panel and, along with Jason, completed its installation. To wrap up the interior Jeff bolted in a pair of black vinyl bucket seats. Complimentary door panels rounded out the look, giving the interior a classic feel which mirrors the overall quality of the car. Jason finalized the install of the sound system, which included a heavy-duty amp, matching speakers, and a subwoofer all from Kicker, which was linked to a state of the art Alpine head unit. The final touches included mounting the hood and trunk lid, attaching the weather seals, installing the headlights, and then lowering the roof into place and fastening it to the body.
When stepping back and looking at the car, we can definitely say that Team Perewitz gave the car their signature look due to the many custom touches they added to the build. The ground-hugging stance, accented by the custom-blended PPG Creamsicle pearl body and complimented by dramatic flames, gives the Factory Five Racing '33 Hot Rod plenty of personality. When the car was fired up for the first time, you can only imagine the excitement Dave and his team experienced. We know this is one hot rod which will see thousands of miles once it hits the road.

With the body now lowered onto the car, Jason installed the polished stainless steel exhaust with all provided hardware and hangers (almost too nice to cover up with interior flooring).

With the fuel filler neck in place, Jason proceeded to install the brushed-aluminum, aircraft-inspired fuel cap and gaskets. Note the gas cap is hidden in the trunk area to give the body an uninterrupted, smooth look.

Beginning work on the passenger side of the car, Jason lowered in the one-piece, CNC-cut, pre-formed aluminum floor section and began the installation.

Moving on to the driver side...

Moving on to the driver side of the interior, Jason continued the installation by first marking the floor section to mirror that of the chassis below. He followed by drilling though the floor section and into the chassis with a 1/8-inch bit and followed by riveting the section into place with an air-driven rivet gun.

Seeing inside the door lets you check out just how beefy the inner frame structure is, which mounts directly to the chassis. You can also see where Jason has run his actuator for the power door locks as well as the tweeter for the Kicker sound system.
