Another nice touch, the crossmember tubes are sleeved and fit into radioed receptacles in the boxing plates. This increases strength, makes it easier to weld, and looks great to boot.

Our Shadow Rods LRHC frame has a 5-inch rear kickup, tubular-style center X-member with trans brake pedal, and master cylinder mounts.

A traditional touch will be added with Shadow Rods wishbones stamped from 11-gauge steel.

The axle ends of the radius rods are investment cast steel-they fit 2 1/4-inch axles and mount to the rear.

Like the framerails, the fit of the radius rods allow for maximum weld penetration.

Spuds are inserted in the ends of the radius rods for the tie-rod ends that will attach to the frame.

With both ends in place and the two halves clamped together, the joints are MIG welded.

One new, old-school, tapered radius rod; all that's left to do is grind the welds.

Combination spring hangers and shock mounts bolt the radius rods behind the axle.

Completing the frontend is a Super Bell 4-inch dropped I-beam, a rolled and tapered leaf spring, special steering arms, and Wilwood brakes.

As up front, tapered radius rods will be used in the rear. The '36 style bolt-on ends are angled to bring the frame ends of the radius rods close together.

The rear radius rod pieces have slots that index into tabs cast into the mounting brackets.

Here the ends have been installed. Welding the tab to the slots is in effect a rosette weld that adds strength.

Grinding and sanding the welds makes the radius rods look like they're one piece. Note the threaded holes (arrow) in the ends of the castings for coilover mounts.

The rear radius rods bolt to 360-degree brackets that are welded to the axle housing.

Since our rearend housing came with the ends in place, the brackets were cut then welded in place.

Moser supplied the complete (centersection and axles) rearend, as on the front, rear brakes are from Wilwood.

A sneak peek at what's to come. The LRHC package includes a special radiator mounting core support with integrated front shock mounts. A special steering box, mount, and Pitman arm are used.
