As a comparison, here's our old caliper with the pads installed and the new CPP unit. Notice how far the piston is pushed out on the old caliper to compensate for the alignment issue. It's likely that the right side pad was seeing minimal braking duty with the left side bearing the brunt of the action, hence the exaggerated wear pattern. View Related Article
