By comparison, this is a ’56 F-100 steering box (typical of 1953-56, the ’56 had a shorter steering shaft due to the dished steering wheel used). Note the steering shaft is at the top of the box, above the sector shaft. Ford pickups used this style of box through 1964. View Related Article
