Since its inception in 1978, the New Products area of the NSRA Nationals has showcased 4,797 new items, and this year's winners were judged by over 100 people from within the street rod industry. For 2013, there were 36 companies debuting 151 new items, and they were categorized into three retail price divisions: Best New Product Up to $200; $200 to $1,000; and $1,000 and Up. Another coveted prize for manufacturers from the event is the Best New Safety Award, and this year one product won both its price category and Best New Safety Award.
